This is a straight forward Pottery Barn style finish. I walk you through the steps and key products used, cover how to handle a change of direction for the faux grain, and reveal the finished result.
These nightstands already had a fluted top drawer. While unintentional, the finished drawer looks almost identical to the original, albeit, in much better condition.
Removing the embellishments and dated hardware, a paint wash to reduce the red undertones, and some sweat equity completely transformed these vintage mahogany nightstands.
